MINNEAPOLIS, July 7, 2008—The American Medical Association has notified the MMA that Wednesday, July 9, is the day that will likely determine if the Senate can pass HR 6331, the bill already passed in the House that must be passed by July 10 to avoid the 10.6 percent cut in Medicare reimbursements to physicians.


Feds call for 10-day delay of Medicare payment cuts

MINNEAPOLIS, June 30, 2008—In the wake of the failure of the U.S. Senate to pass H.R. 6331, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has issued an administrative order to stop the promised 10.6 percent Medicare physician reimbursement cut for 10 days.
