The MMA Foundation is MMA’s philanthropic partner in making Minnesota the healthiest state and best place to practice.
Our Initiatives
The MMA Foundation’s work to make Minnesota the healthiest state and best place to practice is made possible by the generous donations of physicians and other friends of medicine. Thanks to you, the MMA Foundation offers these and other initiatives:
- Community health and physician engagement innovation grants to fund local, physician-led and evidence-based efforts to advance optimal health.
- Medical student scholarships to fund students’ clinical research and community service interests.
- Physician volunteerism to improve access to care in medically underserved communities.
- Suicide prevention training to teach physicians how to routinely screen for suicide risk and how to conduct a brief best practice assessment.
- Changing the Face of Medicine to support initiatives that tear down barriers that stand in the way of too many whose dream is to become a physician.
