Al-Shifa Clinic
Al-Shifa Clinic is a free clinic that opened more than 20 years ago with the mission to provide free healthcare to an underserved population. The nonprofit clinic is a program of the Islamic Center of Minnesota (ICM).
Services provided at the Al-Shifa Clinic include health histories, physical exams, annual check-ups, well child visits, patient education, as well as diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions and acute injury.
Labs are ordered through Labcorp for discounted prices, and referrals are made to specialists as available.
ELIGIBILITY
El-Shifa Clinic provides healthcare services to everyone, regardless of age, race, faith, gender, ethnicity, or one's economic or insurance status.
PHYSICIAN SPECIALTIES NEEDED
The clinic is looking for volunteer primary care physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners.
PREFERRED TIME COMMITMENT
Ideally, we would like a physician to agree to volunteer three hours per month.

Open on Sundays from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm
REQUIREMENTS FOR VOLUNTEERS
Current MD license to practice in the State of Minnesota
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
PROFESSIONAL LIABILITY INSURANCE FOR VOLUNTEERS
Al Shifa Clinic is able to apply for and provide individual liability coverage for our physicians.
