As Minnesota's largest Federally Qualified Health Center, Minnesota Community Care ensures that the communities we serve have access to high quality and affordable healthcare. Services are provided regardless of a patient's ability to pay for services when rendered and regardless of a patient's insurance status. Patients without health insurance are supported through our West Side Cares' Discount Program which accounts for a patient's and her/his family's financial ability to contribute to their care.
During 2014, Minnesota Community Care provided more than $13.5 million dollars in sliding fee discounts for medical, dental and pharmacy services provided to uninsured and underinsured patients.
Minnesota Community Care also has a strong history of working with physician volunteers and has the capacity to provide proper training and support for those interested in being a part of our clinics.
OUR MISSION
Strengthening the well-being of our community through healthcare for all.
OUR VISION
We envision a community in which all people have access to exceptional, comprehensive healthcare and are living healthy lives. Minnesota Community Care is the leader in delivering affordable healthcare by being the provider of choice, driven by compassion and respect for all.
PHYSICIAN SPECIALTIES NEEDED
We are in need of most specialty physician volunteers, with ongoing need for nephrology, psychiatry, cardiology and endocrinology.
We now have a particular need for volunteers in orthopedics and dermatology.
We are also looking for practitioners skilled in ultrasound services.
Minnesota Community Care would also welcome volunteers for in-school clinics in St. Paul.
The work includes sports physicals, contraception, and other typical school-based care. Pediatricians and other primary care providers welcome.
PREFERRED TIME COMMITMENT
Volunteers would be asked to work a minimum of 4-8 hours per month.
