Gun violence and firearm-related accidents kill more than 30,000 Americans each year, making firearm injury and death a public health crisis.
To prevent and address this crisis, we need to advocate for firearm injury and death research funding, and common sense gun laws at the state and federal level. We also need to equip physicians with the necessary tools to discuss firearm injury and death prevention in the exam room. This page is to serve as a resource for physicians in their efforts to reduce firearm injuries and deaths.
