Protecting Minnesotans from Infectious Disease
Vaccines have long been one of our most effective treatments against the spread of infectious disease.
We have known this for childhood diseases like measles and chicken pox, and for adult diseases like influenza. It has also been proven to be one of our best approaches to address the COVID-19 pandemic.
The MMA believes eligible Minnesotans should be vaccinated against COVID-19. The MMA opposes legislative efforts to impede the ability of an organization or employer to implement vaccination requirements for its members or employees. The MMA supports legislative efforts to provide funding for outreach and education of communities that have low COVID-19 and other vaccination rates. Additionally, the MMA supports legislation that repeals exemptions to vaccination requirements for children in public schools.
