Join us for Conversations on Race & Equity (CORE). The CORE series is a safe and respectful virtual space for physicians to discuss topics that relate to health equity and inclusion in healthcare. These conversations are challenging but necessary to overcome avoidance of these issues, promote understanding, and advance equity. Each session is one hour and includes facilitated dialogue based on curated content.
The topics include:
Session 1: Anti-racism
Session 2: Implicit Bias & Microaggressions
Session 3: Cultural Humility
Session 4: Racism in Medicine
Session 5: Allyship
There are two ways to bring CORE to your organization:
MMA Facilitated
With the facilitated option, each session will take place via Zoom with an experienced CORE facilitator.
Self-Guided
The MMA has developed a CORE toolkit for healthcare organizations to use to host a CORE series on their own.
Please contact Haley Brickner, MMA's health equity coordinator, to discuss which option is best for your organization.
