State Launches Frontline Worker Pay Website

The state of Minnesota has set up a website dedicated to providing information on frontline worker pay. It is anticipated that the application for pay will be open June 8 through July 22, although the dates are subject to change. When the system is ready to accept applications, eligible workers will have 45 days to apply for pay.

The Minnesota Legislature ended its session earlier this week without passing many of the major spending and tax bills, or a bonding bill. This leaves much of the state’s record $9 billion budget surplus unspent. As of this update, there has been no announcement of whether there would be a special session or when it would be.
