The MMA joined with four other physician specialty groups to speak out against the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision on June 24 in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which overturns a nearly 50-year precedent set by Roe v. Wade and reaffirmed by Planned Parenthood v. Casey.

State Adds 2 More COVID-19 Test-to-Treat Sites

The state of Minnesota is adding two more COVID-19 test-to-treat sites: MSP Airport, beginning today (June 23), and Saint Paul-Midway, beginning on June 27.

No Special Session Yet; Legislators Hit the Campaign Trail

State Launches Frontline Worker Pay Website

The state of Minnesota has set up a website dedicated to providing information on frontline worker pay. It is anticipated that the application for pay will be open June 8 through July 22, although the dates are subject to change. When the system is ready to accept applications, eligible workers will have 45 days to apply for pay.
New Series to Focus on Transition from Pediatric to Adult Care

On June 1, the MMA and the Minnesota Hospital Association (MHA) released a statement calling for more firearm safety and prevention measures in the wake of the nation’s recent mass shootings, including a shooting at a Tulsa, OK, healthcare facility that took four lives earlier in the day.
